Dr. Swapnashree Sahoo

Designation : Assistant Professor

Dr. Swapnashree Sahoo holds a Ph.D. in Agriculture (Agronomy) from the College of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Her academic and research expertise includes integrated nutrient management, weed management, soil quality assessment and soil quality index development, with a focus on enhancing crop productivity and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. Her research also encompasses the evaluation of plant quality parameters and crop responses to different nutrient and weed management practices.

Research & Patents

Dr. Swapnashree Sahoo has made significant contributions to agricultural research and scientific communication through research publications, book chapters, and popular articles. She received the Best Poster Presentation Award at the National Oilseeds Conference, “Edible Oil Security for Atmanirbhar Bharat,” organized by ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI), New Delhi, in 2026. She was also conferred the Outstanding Master’s Thesis Award at the World Congress on Climate Change and Its Effects (CCIE 2025), held in Kathmandu, Nepal, in recognition of her research contribution. Her academic achievements and research work demonstrate a strong commitment to sustainable agriculture, soil health, and climate-resilient crop production.
