Dr. N. Murugalatha holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology (2012) from Periyar University, an M.Phil. in Biotechnology (Distinction, 82%) from Bharathidasan University, and an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Microbiology (First Class) from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. She possesses exceptional skills in leadership, mentoring, problem-solving, research management, academic administration, and organizing workshops and conferences at both national and international levels.

Research & Patents

Dr. N. Murugalatha has published over 33 research articles in microbiology, biotechnology, and applied sciences. She has authored books such as Microbiological Techniques, contributed chapters on food technology and probiotics, and filed patents for innovative solutions. She has presented at international conferences and has received prestigious awards, including the Vidya Ratan Award (2012), the Emerging Scientist Award (2024), and multiple Best Performer and Academic Excellence Awards.

Dr. N. Murugalatha serves as the NAAC Nodal Officer, IQAC Coordinator, and Head of the Department of Paramedical Sciences at Quantum University. She has extensive leadership experience in academics and research. Fluent in multiple languages, she has managed DST-sponsored projects, organized international workshops, and reviewed manuscripts for renowned journals, demonstrating exceptional mentoring and problem-solving skills.
