Quantum University Hosted its Fifth Convocation in Roorkee, Celebrating Academic Excellence
Quantum University hosted its Fifth Convocation in Roorkee, marking a significant milestone in the academic journey of its graduating students. The ceremony celebrated years of dedication, learning, and achievement, and brought together students, parents, faculty members, and distinguished guests.
The Governor of Uttarakhand and Visitor to the University, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Gurmit Singh, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, VSM, presided over the convocation and conferred degrees and medals upon the graduating students. Uttarakhand Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh extended his best wishes to the graduates as they prepared to step into the next phase of their personal and professional lives.
The event was further enriched by the presence of Special Guest Dr. Ajit Kumar Karnataka, Former Vice Chancellor of MPUAT, Udaipur, and Former President of the Indian Agricultural Universities Association, whose presence added strong academic significance to the occasion.
The ceremony began with a tribute to the martyrs of Uttarakhand, followed by the academic procession, the National Anthem, Saraswati Vandana, and the University Kulgeet. Vice Chancellor Dr. Vivek Kumar presented the Annual Report, highlighting the university’s progress in academics, research initiatives, institutional development, and student achievements.
Degrees were awarded across undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, advanced diploma, and doctoral programs. Research scholars were also recognized for their contributions in areas such as Management, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication, and Applied Medical Sciences, reflecting the university’s focus on academic rigour and research-driven learning.
One of the most memorable moments of the ceremony was the presentation of the President’s Medal to Ms. Sakshi Raj from B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture. She was honoured for her all-round excellence in academics, sports, cultural activities, research, and community engagement. The felicitation of her parents on stage drew warm applause and created an emotional highlight.
Public representatives including Bhagwanpur MLA Mrs. Mamta Rakesh and Roorkee MLA Mr. Pradeep Batra congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to contribute positively to society. Senior leadership of the university, including Founder President Shri Shyam Sundar Goyal, Hon’ble President Shri Ajay Goyal, members of the Board of Governors, and senior academic and administrative officials, were also present.
Gold, silver, and bronze medals were awarded to top performers from various programs. Student-led cultural performances added vibrancy to the ceremony and showcased the creative talent of the campus community.
The convocation witnessed participation from academicians, industry professionals, school leaders, media representatives, and officials from the police and civil administration, highlighting the university’s strong engagement with the wider community.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of degrees, transcripts, and certificates. Graduates left the venue with a sense of pride and accomplishment, while families shared the joy of this important milestone. The Fifth Convocation concluded on an inspiring note, reaffirming Quantum University’s commitment to excellence in education and student success.
