Students of Quantum University Played Nukkad Natak on Radiation Awareness and Safety in Radiology

Towards raising radiation awareness among the local population of Badkala, the Faculty of Radiology at Quantum School of Health Sciences organized a Nukkad Natak. The students of the Pahal Club visited Badkala village to advertise the Street play by Radiology Students.

The Nukkad Natak covered the radiation risks related to diagnostic X-Ray Procedures as well as the benefits of radiation in the accurate diagnosis of various diseases to provide better treatment of the patients at the initial stage. Radiology students also explained about the medical radiation accidents that happened in the early 90s without knowing the risk of X-rays and how the recent advancements in technology have reduced the radiation risks among the population.

The villagers were introduced to various radiological modalities such as Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, CT Scan, and MRI through the Nukkad Natak. As a result of the Nukkad Natak, the villagers were aware of radiation risks and benefits. Due to the ancient tradition of Nukkad, students were able to communicate with villagers and establish a connection through the topic.
