NSS volunteers of Quantum University, Roorkee took out an awareness rally on “Plastic Hatao Paryavaran Bachao” and “Save Soil” in Badkalan village on the occasion of NSS Day. The students undertook a cleanliness drive in the village and stressed the need for switching to cloth bags instead of plastic bags. The volunteers carried the banners with messages and slogans “Plastic Hatao Paryavaran Bachao” and made the villagers aware of environmental protection.
The students promoted the movement & urged the people of the village not to dump waste in public places. Great enthusiasm was witnessed throughout the campaign not only among students but the villagers too.
