Blood Donation Camp Organized at Quantum University

A Blood Donation Camp was organized at Quantum University in collaboration with Round Table Club, Roorkee on 28th March 2022 between 10 am to 4 pm. The objective of the program was to motivate students and people to donate blood voluntarily to save the precious life of needy patients. 

The camp was inaugurated by the chief guest, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Quantum University, Roorkee, Major General, Sanjay Sharma, VSM. On this special occasion, he encouraged youngsters to come forward and donate blood. He said, “Blood Donation leads to Universal Brotherhood”. He expressed his happiness that not only the students, but even the staff members too displayed full enthusiasm to make this mega event a success. 

A total of 125 units of blood was collected at the end of the day. Around 125 students have donated blood in the camp, of which more than 20 students donated blood for the first time. At the blood donation camp, required formalities were performed like the registration of the student, medical screening as only then the students would be allowed to donate. The staff on duty also followed the legitimate protocol. All the necessary arrangements for the organization of the blood donation camp were made by the University. Fruits, juice, coffee, and biscuits were pre-arranged for the blood donors. 

The Medical Team supervising the blood donation camp appreciated the University, its faculty, and students for wonderfully organizing the blood donation camp and promised their help and support in the future too. The medical team was present to facilitate the camp. It is to be noted proudly that Quantum University organizes such camps every year with passion and enthusiasm. The donors received certificates of recognition and badges as an appreciation for their foremost support. Quantum University in alliance with Round Table Club came up with a great cause and successfully conducted the blood donation camp on campus.
