Delhi High Court Judge Honors Quantum University’s 3rd National Moot Court Competition ‘JURISPRUDENCE 24’ 

Roorkee: Quantum School of Law at Quantum University, a leading law school in North India, successfully hosted the 3rd edition of its two-day National Moot Court Competition, “JURISPRUDENCE 24”, on May 4th and 5th, 2024. This year’s event, themed ‘Competition Law’, was dedicated to the memory of the late Fali Sam Nariman, a legendary jurist and a prominent figure in the Indian legal community. The event saw the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Amit Bansal of the Delhi High Court as the Chief Guest. Guests of Honour included Advocate Mr. TS Bindra, Senior Advocate from Dehradun, and Advocate Mr. Samaksh Goyal from New Delhi. 

The competition attracted participation from 17 teams across India, featuring prestigious institutions such as National Law Universities and reputed private universities. The students from various universities, such as Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala, Symbiosis Law School, Pune, Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur,  National Law University (Shimla) etc presented well-constructed arguments, weighing the pros and cons of the given subject.

Apart from the guests there was a sitting of other judges too who headed over the opening of the 3rd Edition of the National Moot Court Competition at Quantum University. Addressing the audience, the Chief Guest, Justice Amit Bansal said, “To all the aspiring legal professionals here today, remember that the study of law is not just about understanding regulations and cases, it’s about shaping a society that values justice and fairness. Engage deeply with your cases, advocate passionately, and always uphold the integrity of the legal profession.”

This Competition was segregated into 4 rounds from the preliminary round to the final. The competition was thrilling and closely contested, with each round filled with real excitement and neck-to-neck challenges. Out of a total of 17 teams, Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur and Symbiosis Law School, Pune reached the final round. The team Jai Narain Vyas University was adjudged as the Winner of the Moot Court Competition with a cash prize of Rs 11000 and Symbiosis Law School, Pune stood as the runner up winning cash prize of Rs 7000. For the other categories the Best Researcher Award was presented to Manreet Kaur Sidhu from Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala, the Best Speaker Award to Anirudh Soni from Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur & the Best Memorial Award was felicitated to the Symbiosis Law School, Pune.
