School of Business conducted an event on “Corporate Finance” at Quantum University

Quantum School of Business conducted an event on Corporate Finance for the BCom third-year students. The event took place at A 210 venue where the program was commenced by Dr. Ram Singh & the guest for the program was Mr. Mahesh Mishra. The program was held on 20th December from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.

Corporate finance is the blood of the business as it deals with the sources of funding, the capital structure of corporations. Mr. Mahesh Mishra interpreted that how companies arrange money/finance. He explained different sources of arranging money and also threw light upon Internal funds. He explained that if one’s project is good & the project report is feasible, legally & viable, the angel investors invest their money in the form of a dead fund. The banks provide bridge financing & the rate of interest is very low. Shark tank does the best analysis of project & share through their series. If we talk about the new financing concept in corporate finance, its Venture capital financing. The other modes of finance are Loans ( Banks ), Foreign loans. A debenture is another form of loan from the public. 

Finance is one of the most important aspects of a business and through this program, students understood the value of finance in a corporate world. Overall the program turned out to be fruitful as BCom students got the opportunity to interact with the professional corporate-financier Mr. Mahesh Mishra.
