The B.Com Students Played the Investment Game Very Well

The Department of Commerce, School of Graduate Studies, Quantum University, organized an “Investment Game” event on Saturday, 16th October 2021.

Govind Singh, Assistant Professor, Quantum University, started the event by explaining the terms and conditions of the game. He asked the students to ensure that the fundamentals were strong before investing in stocks or mutual funds. He also advised that the fund or company should have a robust corporate governance model and a strong balance sheet with a progressive outlook for suitable investment.

After the event, the students shared their experience of playing the investment game. One of the students, Rohan, said, “It is an innovative idea to introduce business concepts into practical life. This session also helped us to understand growth prospective of the industry.”

Another student, Anshika, said, “I have learnt how it takes time for equity investment to yield the desired returns. As said, if you stay invested for the long haul, don’t fret at short-term volatility, and make fundamentally sound investments, results will follow eventually.”
