On 20th of February 2021, Saturday, “Budget Conclave 2021”, a presentation competition on Union Budget 2021, held at Quantum University, Roorkee. The event started at 10 AM. It was organized by the Quantum School of Business and managed by Faculty Coordinators Mr Lehri Singh Chauhan, Dr Abdullah Malik and Ms Shivani Kapoor.
The event started with the brief introduction of the Chief Guest and Guests of Honor. Mr Harshit Gupta, a Chartered Accountant currently practising in Dehradun as a partner at N. Kumar Gupta, was the Chief Guest of the event. The Guests of Honor, Dr Ram Singh, Head of the Department of Quantum School of Business and Dr. (Prof.) Rakesh Premi, Director of Quantum School of Business, added glory to the events with their presence.
After the lamp lighting ceremony, Dr. (Prof.) Vivek Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of the University addressed the students and expressed his views on the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Later on, the competition began in which seven teams participated and showcased their skills. Out of them, Team G of B.A. (Hons.) Economics students which consisted of Bhumika Arya, Divyanshi Rana, Sanjana Singh, Ubaid Dabawala and Nalin Rai won the competition. Team F of B.A (Hons.) Journalism and Mass Communication students was the first runner up followed by Team E of BCom students.
In the end, Chief Guest congratulated the winning teams and awarded them the prizes. The event ended with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr Lehri Singh Chauhan.
