Quantum School of Health Sciences celebrated World Radiology Day with great enthusiasm.

Students and faculty members of Quantum School of Health Sciences enthusiastically participated and celebrated 124th world radiography day at the campus. 

Dr Praveen Kumar, HOD, School of Health Sciences, while addressing the students said, “World Radiography Day is celebrated on 8 November each year. The date marks the anniversary of the discovery of x-radiation by Wilhelm Roentgen in 1895.” He further said, “The purpose of this day is to raise public awareness of radiographic imaging and therapy, which play a crucial role in the diagnosis and the treatment of patients and, most importantly, ensuring radiation is kept to the minimum required, hence improving the quality of patient care.”

Later on, Mr Shiv Kailash Yadav, Assitant Professor, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University took over the stage and delivered an informative lecture on MR Perfusion and Radiation Safety. He also discussed various avenues and applications of Radiology. Ms Yogita, Ms Mamta and Ms Kirti Sharma also played significant roles in making the celebration a success.
