Workshop at Quantum University

B.Sc Agriculture students attended a workshop on food processing.

To provide practical insights to Q-mates, Quantum School of Agricultural Studies organised a workshop on food processing for BSc Agriculture students. The workshop exposed students to principles of food science, processing methods, preservation methods and food safety rules and regulations. The workshop was organised under the guidance and supervision of Mr Naveen Chandra.

More than a hundred students attended this workshop. Under the supervision of expert faculty members, students prepared mixed fruit jam, apple squash and guava jelly. A faculty member told students about various post-harvest practices and value addition of fruits and vegetables. Another faculty member shared various techniques and principles involved in processing and preserving the food products. The workshop was a learning affair and bound to stay fresh in attendees for a long time.
