An MoU signed between Quantum University and Cambridge University Press to ensure the employability of students.

Quantum University and Cambridge University Press have agreed to work together for the development of soft skills among the undergraduate students of Quantum University. The two institutions signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to begin the process.

In this MoU, it is stated that trainers from Cambridge University Press along with faculty members of Quantum University would launch a comprehensive program for developing all formats of communication skills and English language skills in undergraduate students of Quantum University. “After the completion of this credit program, an internationally recognised certification would be provided to Q-mates, which would immensely benefit them, both academically and in terms of setting them apart during their placements,” said the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Vivek Kumar. He further said, “Signing the MoU is an important step of adding international standards to the Quantum University and help students in their all-rounded development along with ensuring their employability.” “The memorandum will promote sustainable relationships between the two institutions, in addition to paving the pathway of sharing expertise on several other levels in future,” said Mr Ajay Goyal, Chancellor of Quantum University. An Empower Training workshop was also organised at Quantum University which was graced by the presence of Ms Sujata Paul, the trainer from Cambridge University Press and Mr Ankit Kesarwani. The main objective of this Faculty Development program was to encourage faculty members to develop the right pedagogical tools for the teaching-learning process and discuss the implementation strategy for soft skill development program.

In this workshop, trainers of Cambridge University Press implemented training programs in focus on enhancing the skill set of the faculty members of Quantum University, where they were exposed to cutting-edge pedagogical methods. At the second phase of this workshop, a discussion among the trainers of Cambridge University Press and faculty members of Quantum University took place on how to deliver the Comprehensive program for soft development of students in the best possible manner. After a long brainstorming session, Ms Sujata Paul drafted a resolution for two – semester-long soft skill development program which would be conducted for the students shortly.

A faculty member from Quantum University said, “The Empower Training workshop was specifically designed to enhance our skills and it has helped us to learn several new aspects of the teaching-learning process. We are excited and hoping this soft skill development program with Cambridge University Press would highly benefit our students.”

Another faculty member said, “The soft skill development program, which is in collaboration with Cambridge University Press, would prove highly beneficial for students as it has been strategically designed to develop personal effectiveness, interpersonal skills and effective communication skills.

The program would ultimately ensure the employability of students.” The workshop concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by the Vice-Chancellor of the University.
