Cake baking workshop at Quantum University

Quantum School of Hospitality and Tourism organised a workshop on “Travel cake baking”.

The School of Hospitality and Tourism, Quantum University, Roorkee organized a workshop on “Travel cake baking”. The workshop was conducted by Chef Ramandeep Bagga, Pastry Chef at Academy of Pastry and Culinary Arts.

The workshop began with a brief lecture, where Chef Ramandeep Bagga discussed various career opportunities for hospitality students in India and abroad. Further, he gave several tips to students on how to build a successful career in the field of bakery. He also explained several related concepts including, decoration, baking tools and kitchen equipment, ingredient choices, cake baking, dough and fillings. 

Chef Ramandeep Bagga prepared the travel cake using an array of ingredients like imported chocolate Callebaut, Callebaut cocoa powder, imported cream anchor from France, orange zest, liquid glucose and almond powder. Chef himself prepared the stuffing using chocolate orange ganache. 

Through this workshop, students got to learn the art of cake baking and decorating the cake. The event proved to be highly beneficial for aspiring professional cake makers.
