Quantum School of Hospitality and Tourism organised a workshop on culinary arts at the university campus. Students of Shivalik Ganges Public school were invited to participate in the workshop and learn some interesting skills. More than a hundred enthusiastic students came to participate in the workshop.
On reaching the university campus, students of Shivalik Ganges Public School, Bhagwanpur were warmly welcomed by the faculty members of the department. Students were given a briefing session, after which they were divided into four groups to prepare the four-course menu starting with Tomato basil Soup, Penne Alfredo and Cream Caramel. Experienced chefs of the university helped students in preparing the savoury dishes in the state-of-the-art kitchens. Chefs helped students in learning different ways of serving the food and understanding the nuances of the hospitality industry. Experts tasted the food and overwhelmingly praised the efforts of the students.
Lastly, Head of School of Hospitality and Tourism provided certifications of participation to students. He concluded this workshop by thanking the students and faculty members of Shivalik Ganges Public School for sparing their time and participating in the workshop with great enthusiasm. While giving a message to students, he said, “If you are serious about starting a career in the culinary arts, a professional culinary degree is a strong option to
get into this growing field.”
It was a great learning experience for the students coming from Shivalik Ganges School of Bhagwanpur. After the workshop, a student shared his view and said, “I really enjoyed this workshop as it was a fun learning activity. Through this workshop, I learned about the skills required in cooking and scope of Hospitality as a career.” Another student said, “I spent the day while exploring my love for the food and cooking in the state-of-the-art kitchens and strengthened my cooking skills. As I am quite impressed with the university, I will pursue a degree course in culinary arts from here only.”
