Medical Students of Quantum University Organized TB Eradication Awareness Campaign

On World Tuberculosis Day, the Department of Applied Medical Sciences at Quantum University took a significant step towards TB eradication with an awareness campaign in Mandawar and Hasanpur villages. Guided by Ms. Niharika Vardhan Saxena, a team of four faculty members—Dr. Shatakshi, Ms. Nikita Tyagi, Ms. Ishita Singh, and Ms. Meha—and 39 students embarked on a mission to educate the local communities about Tuberculosis.

This initiative focused on raising awareness of TB’s causes, symptoms, prevention, and the critical need for early diagnosis and treatment, aiming to reduce stigma and promote community health. The campaign featured a rally with students carrying informative banners, leading to engaging interactions with villagers and an educational session at the Government Primary School in Hasanpur. These efforts elevated TB awareness & encouraged open discussions, effectively spreading knowledge on TB prevention and treatment.

The visit was a key step in promoting community engagement, understanding, and support in the fight against TB, explaining the power of collective action in achieving a TB-free society.
