Students of Civil Engineering Explores Ancient Techniques in Engineering Problem Solving at Quantum University

Department of Civil Engineering at Quantum University organized an expert talk on “Application of Vedic Mathematics to Analyse Complex Engineering Problems.” The guest speaker for the program was the esteemed Mr. S. K Mittal, a retired Principal Scientist from CBRI Roorkee, who led the event with his expertise and insights. The talk aimed to showcase how ancient Indian techniques of Vedic mathematics can be applied to analyze and solve complex engineering problems.

During the talk, Mr. Mittal emphasized that Vedic mathematics offers simplified calculations, particularly when dealing with large numbers. He mentioned that ancient civilizations used Vedic mathematics for astrological and astronomical computations. Vedic mathematics streamlines these calculations, providing answers in a single line and eliminating the need for multiple steps in traditional mathematics.

It was an invaluable and delightful experience for the students to learn how Vedic mathematics can be a powerful tool for analyzing complex engineering problems. It broadened their perspectives and instilled a deeper appreciation for the intricacies of mathematical analysis in the engineering domain.
