Department of Humanities and Social Sciences to Organize a Guest Lecture on the topic of “Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)”

The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences has announced an upcoming Guest Lecture on the topic of “Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)”. This lecture will be presided over by Ms. Manisha Lakhera, Examiner of Patents & Designs, International Affairs Division that will take place on 14th March 2023. It aims to create awareness among research students and teachers on various aspects of IPR, including the protection of intellectual rights, capacity building, and related issues.

The lecture will focus on the following objectives:

  • To increase awareness about Intellectual Property Rights among researchers, students, and inventors.
  • To provide an understanding of the Indian Patent System.
  • To familiarize attendees with the procedures and practices involved in filing a patent application.
  • To demonstrate the value and benefits of IPR protection.

By addressing these objectives, the lecture will help students develop a better understanding of the importance of IPR and how it can benefit their research and inventions.
