Department of Allied Medical Sciences (Nutrition & Dietetics) organized a Nutrition Fiesta at Quantum University

Department of Allied Medical Sciences (Nutrition & Dietetics) under Quantum School of Health Sciences organized a Nutrition Fiesta on the occasion of Nutrition Month at Quantum University. The event was conducted into 5 categories – Food Stall, Projects Demo, Food Games, Tribal Therapeutic food items of Uttarakhand, & Nutritional Assessment. Celebrating flavors from cultures around the world is a tasty way to nourish ourselves and appreciate our diversity. It’s true that the human body requires seven major types of nutrients and so one should build a healthy-eating plate for themselves to avoid the risk of malnutrition.

We all are unique with different bodies, goals, backgrounds, and tastes! In that case, a Nutrition expert can help you create healthy habits that celebrate your heritage and introduce you to new foods and flavors. Nutrition Fiesta was organized, where different activities from Innovative Food Stall to Nutritional Assessment were conducted to spread awareness about the importance of nutrition and how to curb the problem of undernutrition.

The nutritional status of the students and faculty was evaluated after the end of the Nutrition Fiesta. The nutrition assessment stated that modifications in lifestyle, dietary habits, and physical activity are required to solve the problems caused due to insufficient nutrition. The event was successful as it was able to communicate knowledge and the benefits of a proper nutritional diet and its positive impact on health.
