Quantum University Innovation Council Hosted Three Sessions on Incubation & Startups

Quantum University Incubation Center, The Genesis introduced a three-session workshop on Incubation & Startups for its students and faculty members. The session was presided over by the eminent guest speaker, Mr. Varun Tiwari who is the CEO of Intelligyan Edu Services Pvt. Ltd. The objective of organizing these sessions was to enlighten the students on how to begin a startup and nurture their business. 

The first session was on “Accelerators/Incubation – Opportunities for Students & Faculties – Early Stage” where the motive of the talk was to make the students understand how Incubators play a major role in supporting start-ups. The talk continued about how startups are changing the economic scenario of the country. Mr. Varun said, “India is the 2nd largest consumer of internet market in the world, out of which 80% of users are mobile based.”

The second session was on “Innovation/Prototype Validation – Converting Innovation into a Start-up” where discussions took place regarding the stages from a prototype to a startup. When it comes to ideation, the first step is always discovering problems and tackling them in real-time. This insightful workshop not only talked about Problem Solving but also provided far-sighted hands-on experience on Ideation and various stages associated with it. The impactful ambiance throughout the workshop was witnessed by the inquisitive audience and their active participation. He cited an example of the recent prototype converted into a startup named ‘Nutrition- Adda’. Students learned the innovation cycle and product development phases from Ideation to Proof of Concept (POC) to Prototype development in various technologies. 

Mr. Varun covered various important points in the last session of the workshop on “Lean Start-up & Minimum Viable Product/Business”. From the Scalability of the business to the Methods of being a lean start-up, he mentored the start-ups one by one & discussed various aspects of the established and early-stage start-ups. Students clarified their ideas, enquired about ways to scale up the business, & understood how to select the right angel investors.

At the end of the session, Mr. Tiwari handled the queries & doubts of a wide pool of audiences drawn from students and faculty. He provided each start-up with a target to achieve within a deadline. The session was dynamically engaging, informative, and a great success.
