Student of Quantum University Bagged Silver Medal in All India Cyber Security Skill Competition

BTech (Hons) Cyber Security final year student, Prashant Saini of Quantum University, Roorkee has won the silver medal in the All India Cyber Security Skill Competition. The closed-door event was organized by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), the nodal agency for skill and entrepreneurship development, which was held at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium, Delhi. The event witnessed participants from various states and union territories participating & competing with each other in more than 50 skills like confectionery, cyber security, welding, additive manufacturing, car painting, patisserie, floristry, etc. 

On January 10, 2022, Rajesh Agarwal, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship proposed awards to the winning participants of India Skills National Competition-2021 in which Prashant Saini was the only participant of Uttarakhand who bagged a silver medal in Cyber Security and has qualified for the global competitions. 

Skill India, also known as the National Skills Development Mission of India, is a campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi which is managed by the National Skills Development Corporation of India. The aim of the mission is to cater to the youth of the country with adequate training and market-relevant skills. It focuses on creating opportunities for the development of talent within the country and enhancing the overall scope and reach for underdeveloped sectors. India Skills competition is held after every two years at the regional and national levels.

After the felicitation ceremony, Prashant Saini said, ” I feel so honored and grateful to be the recipient of this awardAll my efforts and the blessings of my teachers have turned out to be fruitful. It’s a privilege to receive this award by representing my University, State, and Country. ”

The competition highlights India’s capabilities to the world and facilitates learning and exposure on a global platform.
