An Educational Visit to Cente for Aromatic Plants was conducted by Quantum School of Agriculture Studies

An educational visit to the Centre for Aromatic Plants, Selaqui, Dehradun was organized by Quantum School of Agricultural Studies for the 3rd year students of agricultural studies under the supervision of Dr. Anjay Singh Bisht, Mr. Anjil Panwar, Dr. Neha Dahiya, and Dr. Meghana Singh. Dr. Gaurav Aggarwal was the coordinator of the visit who ensured students learn as much as they can through the experts.

Around 100 students went for an industrial visit where they explored different aromatic plants such as Peppermint, Ocimum spp, Butch, Geranium, Palmarosa, and Aromatic plants nursery. Students learned the value of medicinal and aromatic plants like they provide the basic raw materials as medicines, perfumes, cosmetics, and flavors. They got to know the services of CAP like Awareness and Training, Production of Quality Planting Material, Cultivation, and Extension on Cluster Approach. BSc Agriculture students witnessed the nature-friendly environment and saw a variety of aromatic plants.

Students got the opportunity to interact with the experts and gained knowledge regarding medicinal and aromatic plants. Through such visits, we hope to cultivate practical learners by fueling their curiosity and motivating them to understand things through in-hand experience.
