Skill Enhancement Visit to NHAI Bridge Project by Civil Engineering Students

The Department of Civil Engineering, School of Technology, Quantum University, organized a skill enhancement visit on 14th October to NHAI Project for its students. The visited NHAI Project site is located on NH 304, where a bridge is under construction. National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) holds the responsibility of developing, maintaining, and managing National Highways.

During the industrial visit, the students learned the terminology of drawing and field utility material. They studied and observed the construction of the well foundation of an under-construction bridge. The students could co-relate their technical knowledge on quantity measurement, quality control, and efficient usage of minimum resources.

Site Engineer Mr. Muzakkir demonstrated and talked about the construction equipment such as TRM (Transit Rotating Machine), BOOM, BCM (Bar Cutting Machine), BBT (Bar Bending Tool), etc. He expertly guided the visit and also answered all the students’ queries.
