The Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering, School of Technology, Quantum University, organized an industrial visit last Friday to Avanti Bufa for its second and third-year students. Avanti Bufa Pvt. Ltd., located at Bhagwanpur industrial area (Roorkee), is a leading region supplier for tubular frame upholstered and assembled seats. With customers like PHILLIPS, BOSCH, MICO, Stanzen Links, ICIM, BPL & Mahindra, the company offers automotive sheet metal aggregates, agricultural equipment, roofing structures for tractors & three-wheelers, body in white, and trim chassis & final.
During the industrial visit, the students learned about the plant’s products and understood their manufacturing process. Fabrication of parts of the vehicle, sheet metal operation, painting of components, de-rusting, PU & Epe sheet making, assembly, testing, packaging, and automation were the main focus areas of the visit.
Mr Deepmani, Plant head of the company, guided the visit in a lovely way and answered all the students’ queries.
