Placements at Quantum University

Extramarks offered staggering packages of 12.4 lakh to Q-mates.

Quantum University, Roorkee, very successfully continues its mission to create new placement record with each new day. Recently, a globally known company, Extramarks, visited the campus and selected eight students at a staggering package of 12.4 LPA. The students were from different programs that included MBA, BBA and B.Tech.  Extra Marks is one of the leading education technology companies with footprints across India, South Africa, Indonesia and the Middle East. Their learners exceed 6 million in number!

The selection process was quite rigorous but the Quantum students came upto the challenge and recorded such enviable placements. Ila Gupta, an MBA student to have been placed said, “ a regular protocol of trainings coupled with very useful pre-placement sessions, and the industry exposure we got at Quantum were particularly  helpful in achieving this.” Another student Abdul Suhail (B Tech) expressed his great happiness and profusely thanked the faculty and the teaching-learning processes at Quantum for the wonderful achievement. Like others, he was of the opinion that Quantum University is laying great emphasis on enhancing the employability skills of the students.

A visibly pleased Vice Chancellor, Dr Vivek Kumar, gave a brief overview of the placements at Quantum. He said already a package of 18 LPA was under their belt and  the average package was showing great improvement with each year. Industry leaders like Quick Heal and BYJU’s had conducted campus placements and selected Q-Mates at impressive packages of 5.5 LPA and 10 LPA respectively. He also stated that more than hundred companies had already visited the campus this year which included top firms like ICICI Bank, Just Dial, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Clien among others, offering very satisfactory packages to the students. According to him, even the internships at Quantum were getting increasingly paid and a sizeable number of Q-Mates were getting pre-placement offers based on their internships.

The Chancellor, Sh Ajay Goyal congratulated students, management, faculty and also the placement department called DEEPRO (Dept of External Affairs) on the wonderful teamwork. He emphasised with all the stakeholders to ensure that no effort is spared in ensuring a very high employability quotient of the Quantum students. He said that for him their was no greater reward than to see the students becoming useful and responsible members of the society. He also personally extended his thanks to the executives of Extra Marks.
