On an industrial visit, Q-mates visited Patanjali Food and Herbal Park.

Quantum University has always emphasised on the all-embraced development of the students. To provide practical insights, Quantum School of Health Sciences organised an industrial visit to Patanjali Food and Herbal Park. This visit was organised on account of World Food day. More than fifty students accompanied by three faculty members visited the world’s largest food park based in the holy city of Haridwar. The objective of this visit was to expose students to various technologies used in the food industry. On arriving at the location, students were warmly welcomed by the authorities and briefed about the inception of the organisation and its working. Later on, students visited the various blocks and learned about various food preservation techniques which helps in lowering the wastage of food. Officials of the organisation told students that in India around 90-92% of food produced is getting waste and Patanjali Food and Herbal Park is the first food production unit which is helping society to fight against this problem. The visit concluded with a query session wherein the students asked various technical questions from the officials. Being the disciples of Nutrition and Dietetics, students thoroughly enjoyed this visit and gained a lot out of it.
