Quantum School of Technology celebrated National Science Day, in the memory of Raman’s Effect a noble prize winning scientific contribution by Prof. C.V. Raman. To commemorate the first Nobel laureate of Asia in the field of science, Sir C. V. Raman, Quantum School of Technology hosted a series of events.
Dr Gulshan Chauhan inaugurated the program by informing the students about the importance of National Science Day, a notable achievement of C V Raman and the importance of this year theme. He emphasized the importance of scientific applications in the daily life and encouraged students to popularize Science and Technology. He informed the students that this celebration is mainly aimed at allowing the younger generation to display their activities, efforts, and achievements in the field of science for human welfare.
Later on, Prof. S. C. Handa delivered a guest lecture on “Pollution: Noise pollution and Air pollution” for B.Tech first-year and B.Sc (Hons.) students. Prof. S. C. Handa has 37 years of teaching and research experience out of which 38 yrs in IIT. This lecture brought awareness among the students about pollution control and how science and technology can be used to reduce it.
Lastly, a wall magazine event with the theme of “The Great Indian Scientists” was organized to spread a message about the importance of the role of Indian scientists and show their efforts and achievements for humanity. The wall magazine placed on record the achievements of the scientists of our motherland who contributed immensely towards every facet of science. Overall the day concluded successfully and celebrated the essence of science.
