The Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Technology, Quantum University, organized an industrial visit on 21st September to CIPET: CSTS – Dehradun for its students. The visited workplace of the organization is located at Doiwala, Dehradun.
CIPET is a premier Govt. of India Autonomous Institution for Higher & Technical Education in Polymer Science & Engineering. The CIPET: CSTS – Dehradun is one of the 23 centers that create a technically qualified workforce to meet the requirements of industries at various levels and promote entrepreneurship. It also provides necessary Technical Support Services (TSS) to Plastics and its Allied Industries of the State.
During the industrial visit, the students learned about EDM operation, Automation, Assembly, Testing Lab, and CNC machines. The students took a keen interest in understanding plastic processing and related processes.
Mr. Balveer took good time to show the different sections of the center. He also explained the short-term skill development training programs conducted by the center to benefit educated unemployed youth of the State.
The Director, Abhishek Rajvansh, warmly guided the visit and answered all the students’ queries.
