The Department of Commerce & Finance, School of Graduate Studies, Quantum University, organized an industrial visit on 27th September to Amardeep Designs Pvt. Ltd. for its students. The visited workplace of the company is located at Lakeshwari Industrial Estate, Haridwar. Amardeep Designs is a professionally managed ISO 9001: 2008 certified organization, which is known worldwide for manufacturing, supplying, and exporting a diversified assortment of furniture.
During the industrial visit, the students learned about various aspects of the manufacturing of seating systems. The students found it interesting to know the modern techniques for completion of work, cost-effective usage of material, inventory management, optimal raw material usage, efficiency issues of workforce, and taxes.
The quality manager, Ujjwal Thapa, showed the different ways of usage and reduction of waste material. He took good time to display the patented products of the company. Mr. Thapa also explained the process of quality control and the important parameters that have to be kept in mind while maintaining it.
The operation manager, Vinay Sharma, decently guided the visit and answered all the students’ queries.
