Quantum University organised an event to mark the Martyrdom Day of freedom fighters Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. Floral tributes were paid to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country. The programme was organised at the auditorium, which was coordinated by the faculty association of the university and attended by all teaching and non-teaching staff. The event began with a Shayari paying obeisance to the invaluable sons of India. It was followed by a poem glorifying the life of the heroes by Avantika Paul and Akansha Duyara. An important highlight of the event was a play by the Theatre Club of the University that depicted the life of Bhagat Singh and his thinking towards contributing his most to the nation’s freedom struggle. It highlighted his bravery to fearlessly embrace death at a young age so that the individuals of ‘Bharat’ could enjoy liberty and their exploitation be hence rendered impossible. Dr Rakesh Premi, the chief guest for the event, said Shaheed Bhagat Singh gave a new direction to freedom struggle through his revolutionary ideas and supreme sacrifice.
A bright and bold dance performance of the students followed by the felicitation of guests marked the end of the day.
