In a very short span of time, hackathons have grown to become a global student movement all across the globe. In a run up to the Smart India Hackathon 2020, School of Technology of Quantum University conducted an internal hackathon.
Students from the second, third and fourth years actively participated in the hackathon. Some worked on software problems while some on hardware. Problem statements by MHRD, DRDO like agriculture, health care management, e-commerce etc. were targeted by the students. Hackathon provided students with valuable technical skills that they will need in their future. While collaborating in a high-stakes environment, students learnt how to work effectively in a team.
In the end, some students were selected by the jury of domain experts. These students were nominated for Smart India Hackathon 2020 which is considered to be the world’s largest Open Innovation model and is organized every year by the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
