Decathlon Sports Pvt. Ltd. conducted a placement drive for final year students of MBA, BBA, B.Com, B.Tech, B.Sc (Agriculture) at the university campus on 10 December 2020. After a rigorous selection procedure, the company selected Ahmer Shams and Faheem Farooq Bhat pursuing BTech in Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering respectively. Decathlon is a French sporting goods retailer, having more than 1,500 stores in 49 countries. The retailer stocks a wide range of sporting goods, from tennis rackets to advanced scuba diving pieces of equipment. After getting selected Farooq Bhat expressed his happiness and said, “The pre-placement classes conducted by the faculty members really helped me in preparing well. Right now, I am falling short of words for thanking them.” He added, “This year we are seeing recruiters like BYJU’s, Extramarks, Just Dial, Quick Heal etc. offering attractive packages to Q-mates. The placement rate is growing at an unmatched pace.”
