Quantum University, Roorkee has always been at a front runner in providing a helping hand to society. Continuing this tradition, Quantum School of Health Sciences organised a free health camp in association with Aarogyam Medical College and Hospital, Roorkee. Dr K K Pandey from Aerogram Medical College and Hospital and Dr Gulshan Chauhan, Director of Quantum School of Technology inaugurated the heath camp.
The team of professionals included Dr Swarnika, Dr Kamran, Dr Tanvee Fatima, Dr Deepti Dogra and Dr Naman Akhtar. The team also included the university students from Pharmacy and Nutrition & Dietetics Department. The camp included free medical consultation, physiotherapy and nutritional advice. 208 patients from the nearby villages visited the health camp and were assessed, advised and counselled. Patients were provided with free medical advice and free medication. Students enrolled in B.Pharma and D. Pharma programs of the university helped the team of doctors in conducting blood sugar test, checking BMI and BP. Students of pharmacy were there at every spot for the smooth running of the programme.
The health camp concluded successfully under the supervision of Dr Praveen Kumar and Mrs Hema Seliya. The camp helped students in inculcating the skills required for dealing with patients.
