Abhivyakti-2019, the three-day-long literary festival of Quantum University, Roorkee concluded in a spectacular manner, amidst the great excitement. In this event, students from different departments of the university as well as students from different schools in the region participated with great gusto and enthusiasm. The mega event witnessed the magnetic performances of talented and excited students.
On the second day of the festival, there were four competitions, including, Prof. Rajneesh Kumar Memorial Debate Competition, Dancing Verses (acting with poetic recitation), Volt-face competition and Calligraphy competition. In the Prof. Rajneesh Kumar Memorial Debate Competition, eight teams reached the final round and a team of second-year students of Radiology and BBA department of the university secured the first place while on the second place was the joint team of a first-year student of Journalism and Mass Communication and a final-year student of Computer Science.
Fifteen teams took part in the Dancing Verses (acting with poetry recitation) competition in which Team Aina, a joint team of students of Computer Science and BBA, took first place and Team Sarfarosh, the joint team of Department of Agricultural Sciences and Radiology, got second place. Fifteen teams participated in the Extempore competition, in which the second-year student of BCom got first place and the first-year student of Journalism and Mass Communication Department got second place. More than 80 students participated in the calligraphy competition, in which a final year student of the Petroleum Engineering Department of the university got the first place and a student of JV Jain Degree College, Saharanpur got second place.
On the third and last day of the festival, an interdepartmental group singing competition was organized, in which twelve teams from the university participated. The teams of Computer Science Department and Department of Agricultural Sciences took first and second place respectively. The event was concluded by the magnetic dance performance of the students of the university’s cultural club. At the end of the festival, the Chancellor of the University, Mr Ajay Goyal, congratulated the staff and the students for their efforts in presenting a programme par excellence and gave blessings to all the winners and participants for their bright future. The festival finally ended with the students singing the university anthem and filling the campus air with their melodious music.
