Quantum University always pays great emphasis on providing industrial exposure to the students for which it regularly conducts industrial visits. Recently, School of Agricultural Studies organised an industrial visit to Saharanpur Mandi for BSc Agriculture (3rd year) students. More than fifty students along with the faculty members visited the Mandi.
On arriving at the location, students were warmly welcomed by Mr Vikash on behalf of the Mandi organisation. Students visited mango packhouse and gained information about various methodologies of moisture measurement, seed grading, fruit storage and measurement of crop moisture. In addition to this, they were also exposed to processes involved in the collection of samples of grain. The visit concluded with a Q & A session where students got to speak
their mind and clarify all their doubts. Students asked various questions from the mandi officials who patiently heard and answered them. Being disciples of BSc Agriculture, students thoroughly enjoyed this visit.
