Department of Mechanical Engineering organised a motivational lecture on ‘How to prepare for GATE/IES and major exams at Shyam Ji Auditorium. More than a hundred students became a part of this lecture and earned a lot from the rich experience of Mr Vibhav Srivastava.
Mr Vibhav Srivastava began his lecture by saying, “First of all, the aspirants should acquaint themselves with the syllabus and analyse the question paper of previous years.” He further said, “The aspirant should try to find out the pattern of the exam and then select the appropriate books and resources”. He also highlighted the importance of planning and revision.
He gave several valuable tips to students on how to approach the syllabus and prepare well. While concluding the session he said, “Solve as many mock question papers as possible. There are several resources available online and offline and you can reap out huge benefits out of them”. Furthermore, he asked students to pay attention to their strengths and weaknesses and improve the weak areas. Besides, he highlighted the importance of time management and said, “this will help you score better marks in the real examination.”
The motivational lecture proved very helpful for the students as they got a platform to learn about competitive exams of engineering.
