Dr. Pankaj Rautela, a field scientist from Corteva AgriSciences Ltd, took a guest lecture on the fundamentals of plant pathology at the Quantum campus. Dr Pankaj Rautela has done his PhD in Plant Pathology from GBPUAT, Pant Nagar and acquired a vast knowledge base along with the wealth of experience over the years. Utilizing his more than five years of Industrial experience, he explained career and growth in the field of agriculture to the Q-mates.
He highlighted the importance of plant pathology and the vast hidden potential of this field in India. It was a very interactive session, where students gained technical knowledge about the plant pathology. This lecture helped students in learning about the diseases, pathogens and causal organism which affect the plant growth and ultimately the crop yield.
