Quantum University’s Department of Applied Medical Sciences organized a practical visit to Hotel Saffron Leaf in Dehradun for its B.Sc. N&D and M.Sc. N&D students, engaging 41 students in an immersive learning experience. This visit aimed to provide real-world exposure to the details of food service management, allowing students to observe the operations of a successful food service establishment up close.
During their visit, students benefitted from a series of insightful lectures and interactive sessions with key hotel personnel, covering a wide range of topics from human resource management and sales strategies to culinary excellence and guest services.
Highlights included insights into HR practices by Ashwani Kumar, marketing strategies by Prempal, security measures by Rishi Thakal, a kitchen tour led by Chef Rakesh Sajwan, housekeeping operations by Manoj Kumar, and guest services insights from Sarthak Thapa. This enriching experience equipped students with a deeper understanding of the complexities and challenges of managing a top-tier hospitality service.
