India Design Week (IDW) 2023, sponsored by Autodesk and ICT Academy, saw over 100 teams competing in Chennai at Shree Sairam Engineering College from 25-26 April. The competition aimed to showcase the creativity and innovation of young minds in design and engineering and to promote the use of advanced design technology. Quantum University, a prominent higher education institution located in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, was among the participants and was the lone team from North India to make it to the top 15 finalist teams.
India Design Week is the largest Design Event for budding engineers who comes together to learn and design for various problem statement. It aims to foster young talented minds in technical design and expose them to all aspects of the product design process using the Autodesk FUSION 360 software.
Quantum University stood out as the only team from North India to secure a place in the top 15 finalists. The team presented their designs and ideas proving their prowess in the field which were judged based on various parameters like innovation, creativity, design aesthetics, and feasibility. Their designs were highly appreciated by the judges and they were able to make it to the top 15 finalist teams.
