A 5-day workshop on Paromoios – Ideate, Innovate, Invent was conducted for the Media studies and Design, Civil Engineering, & Mechanical Engineering students at Quantum University. The invited guest was Mr. Paul Damle – an artist, designer, and mentor by profession from Dehradun, in the foothills of the Himalayas. Additionally, he teaches design education in universities, schools, and social organizations across India, the Middle East, and South Asian countries.
The workshop is about innovative foam integrations, furniture design, sculpture, and kinetic installations using wood, metal, paper, and other materials to inspire young minds. Mr. Paul Damle gave an introduction to Origami to the students of Animation, UI, Civil, and Electrical engineering for the first two sessions.
In the later sessions, students were taken to a mechanical lab where they worked on paper, wood, metal, and different types of spraying materials to create different geometric shapes. During the five-day workshop, students learned about origami and experimented with different geometric shapes.
