The department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Quantum University organized a guest lecture on the theme “Not Every Disability is Visible” on 2nd December 2022 on the occasion of “International Day of Disability” (03 December). The guest lecture was organized at Moot Court which started with the welcome address inviting our special guest for the day Dr. Deepesh Chandra Prasad, Secretary, Abhiprerna Foundation, Haridwar.
Dr. Deepesh delivered his knowledge and experiences on the theme & explained the concept of disability in detail. He explored the nature and different types of disabilities explaining the factors and causes of multiple types of disabilities. Dr. Deepesh also explained the various programs and policies related to disability & the role of NGOs.
The program succeeded in convincing the audience to understand the nature and perspectives of disability and rehabilitation, learn effective strategies to manage and rehabilitate persons with disability & understand the different policies and guidelines for them.
