To create awareness among the stakeholders on how the NCRF enables the learners to move between academic and vocational domains, exit, and re-enter the programs by accumulating and transferring credits, a half-day workshop steered by the IITs was organized in five zones namely North Zone (IIT Delhi), West Zone (IIT Bombay), North- East Zone (IIT- Guwahati), East-Central Zone (IIT-Bhubaneswar) and South Zone (IIT-Madras) in the hybrid mode under the aegis of the Ministry of Education.
Quantum University attended the workshop on ‘Stakeholders Consultation on Draft National Credit Framework (NCrF)’ Held on 21st November 2022 at IIT Delhi together with Vice-Chancellors/representatives of universities from the States and UTs who were among the attendees. Shri Dharmendra Pradhan Hon’ble Education Minister talked about the topic and enlightened the audience about the new schemes regarding the same.
National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 promotes the integration of academic and vocational domains to achieve holistic and Multidisciplinary education. To realize the intent and objective of NEP 2020, a Draft National Credit Framework (NCrF) has been jointly developed by a high-level committee constituted by the Government of India. National Credit Framework is a comprehensive framework that enables seamless integration of learning from the three axes of learning viz. academic learning, vocational learning, and experiential learning, right from school to higher educational institutions.
