The NSS volunteers of Quantum University, Roorkee conducted a Single Use Plastic Clean India (Swachh Bharat) Part 2 Campaign on the university campus. The aim of the campaign is to reduce the single-use of plastic to an almost zero level so that it should not be dumped under the ground with waste.
A Clean India would be the best gift to our nation. To support this initiative, the NSS students collected & reprocessed 1.5kg of plastic per head. They groomed the surroundings and extended the message by urging people to Clean India. The Swacch Bharat Mission aims to inspire people to adopt behaviors that put sanitation at the center of their lifestyle. To reinforce those behaviors and focus on providing interventions for the safe management of soil and liquid waste, the students at Quantum University will continue the cleanliness drive till 31st October.
The students and faculty took a pledge for Swachh Bharat to ensure clean and green surroundings. In order to stop the single-use of plastic and to prevent others from doing so, the NSS students are taking the lead and supporting the government in this cause.
