An Organic Food Mela is an added gem in the Abhivyakti – Literary Fest to highlight the strong & ethnic culture of Uttarakhand. This organic food fair is a collaborative effort of (The Dept. of Agriculture Science, The Dept. of Hospitality Management & The Dept. of Nutrition & Dietetics). The event took place on the last day of the fest to promote organic farming and facilitate the marketing of products.
The specialty of this organic fair is that every ingredient that is used in the recipes has been cultivated & treated by organic methods. The Farmers, Entrepreneurs, and students from different parts of Uttarakhand actively participated in the fair and showcased their organic products and technology. Organicfood products, plants, clothing, medicines, and machinery were on display.
Organic Food Mela proved to be a perfect example of collaborative teamwork & unity. It is dedicated to the cause of organic, natural, and sustainable lifestyles. The vendors are carefully chosen and extra care is taken while placing them with each other so as to support each other’s business. There is a lot of emphasis on encouraging consciousness around personal health, well-being, and environmental sustainability. University achieved its purpose to encourage consciousness around personal health, well-being, and environmental sustainability regarding organic products.
