Department of Civil Engineering, Quantum University, Roorkee is going to conduct an Expert Lecture on ” Academic Research and Societal Needs: Experiences from Mechanics is Geo-, Bio- and Meta-Materials ” on 22nd September 2022. The eminent speaker will be Dr. Anil Misra, Professor of Engineering Mechanics in the Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering Department of the University of Kansas, Lawrence.
The objective of this lecture is to teach students What does social responsibility truly mean in the context of academic research? Dr. Anil has a broad research interest in both basic and applied aspects of the mechanics of geomaterials, interfaces, biomaterials, etc. With his excellency in analytical, computational, and experimental granular micromechanics, and other such fields, he will be sharing his knowledge with our students to understand each aspect better.
