Resources are scarce in nature and have alternative uses too. The tremendous demand for these resources makes the world contemplate the correct or sustainable way to use them.
The UNDP implemented 17 Sustainable Development Goals in the member countries in 2015. In order to complete the targets specified in the goals, every country is developing plans and taking some effective actions.
India is the 2nd most populated country in the world, making a major contribution. Department of Humanities & Social Sciences, Quantum University, Roorkee is organizing a guest lecture which is an attempt to study and understand some of the strategies India is taking towards sustainability and fulfilling the goal of growth through sustainable approaches.
The Guest Speaker for the program will be Prof. (Dr) Falendra Kr Sudan, Professor Dept. of Economics, University of Jammu, and the topic is “Sustainable Growth Strategy for India”. The program will be held on 30th April, from 11 am onwards.
