Quantum School of Business, Quantum University, Roorkee along with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) organized an Expert Talk on “Social Entrepreneurship and Economic Development” on Saturday, February 19th, 2022. The program commenced from 10:00 AM onwards & lasted till 11:30 AM.
The coordination of the program was in the hands of Dr. Nirmesh Sharma and Ms. Shruti Rawat of Quantum School of Business. The event was led by the Expert Resource, Dr.Mohd. Asif Shah, Associate Professor, Kebri Dehar University, Ethiopia. The program showed the wonderful participation of over 150 participants who enjoyed the discussions and talks. It started with an inaugural note by Dr. Nirmesh Sharma followed by a beautiful dance performance on Saraswati Vandana by the students. Post the performance, Director- QSB Dr. Brijendra Singh Yadav Proposed a Formal Welcome Address.
The Guest Speaker, Dr. Mohd. Asif Shah addressed the participants and threw light upon what is social entrepreneurship and what role social entrepreneurship plays in the economic development of the nation. To develop a better understanding of the topic Dr. Shah quoted numerous examples of the economic model followed by ADB and other institutions of India and the World. Dr. Shah also discussed factors affecting the economic development of a nation.
Eventually, a Q&A session was conducted where various doubts and queries of the students were clarified concluded by a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Nirmesh Sharma, Coordinator BBA, Quantum School of Business. We thank everybody for their enthusiasm and zeal and for making the event a great success!
