The Department of Journalism & Mass Communications, School of Media Studies & Design, Quantum University, organized a Webinar on “Emerging opportunities in Photography and Cinematography” on Thursday, 21st October 2021.
The Guest Speaker was Rahul Shakya from AAFT University, Raipur. He explained the basic materials and processes of photographic practice. The Speaker asked the students to critically examine the subjects within their historical and sociological context to make a mark in Cinematography. He encouraged the students to create a portfolio that reflects their unique style and can develop their understanding of light, space, composition, color, technique, and context.
The students learned about all the aspects of Photography & Cinematography and how these disciplines can impact the masses. They came to know about the emerging technologies and opportunities in the two fascinating fields. Mr. Shakya also asked the students to make their careers as professional artists, art gallery directors, photojournalists, commercial photographers, consultants, art critics, art historians, etc.
