The Department of Commerce & Finance, School of Graduate Studies, Quantum University, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council, organized a Guest Lecture on the topic – “MSME: Prospects & Challenges” on Thursday, 30th September 2021.
Dr. SK Gupta (FCS, FCMA, Ph.D.) was the guest speaker at the event. Dr. Gupta is the Managing Director of Registered Valuers Organization of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. He started the webinar by explaining the term “VUCA World.” He talked about leveraging the cottage & small-scale industries for sustainable economic prosperity. Dr. Gupta also elaborated on the economic activities performed by the local entrepreneurs & SMEs. He clarified the differences between Rural Bharat & Urban India and how they both can complement each other.
Through the webinar, the students learned about the vital role of MSMEs in the industrialization of the country. They also came to know about the key strategies developed by the central govt to promote & support the MSME sector. The students were also introduced to the opportunities available in the industry for entrepreneurs.
