Quantum School of Hospitality and Tourism conducted an online guest lecture on ‘Tandoor Cuisine’. Mr Naveen Rana, Assistant Professor at State Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition, New Tehri, Uttarakhand were the guest speaker for the event. He is having vast experience of more than 10 years as a Chef and as an Academician.
At the beginning of the lecture, Mr Gaurav Mamgai, Head of the School of Hospitality and Tourism, welcomed the guest speaker. The welcome address was followed by the lecture which was delivered through a PowerPoint presentation. The speaker explained in detail the methods of cooking used in tandoor and also touched on some aspects of types of tandoors. Later on, the lecture moved to the various types of marinates used in tandoori cuisines. Towards the end of the lecture, he informed attendees about the various health benefits of tandoor cuisine. At the end of the lecture, a question and answer session took place. Overall, the lecture proved to be a learning affair for the students and due to its enriched content, it will stay with the attendees for a long time.
